The Thai banknotes series 1 ‘s design was printed only on one side; so the note was called “Uniface Banknote“. There were 7 denominations: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 1000 baht. Each denomination had many types which were printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited, England. The issuance of these notes was announced in 1902 during the period of King Rama V to King Rama VI.
