Thailand’s currency unit is Baht (บาท [Bāth]) or Thai Baht (Symbol: ฿, THB). One Baht is subdivided into 100 Satang (สตางค์, [S̄tāngkh̒]). According to Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), as of October 2014 from wikipedia.org, the Thai baht ranked as the tenth most frequently used world payment currency. You can use Thai baht in the neighborhood countries such as Myanmar, Lao and Cambodia especially around the country border.
Thai currency system has changed and developed many times from the past. There were many subdvisions, around ten, but only two at the present, those are Baht and Satang.

Baht (บาท [Bāth]): Baht is the basic Thai currency unit like dollar or pound.
Satang (สตางค์, [S̄tāngkh̒]): Satang is the subdivision of baht that

Salueng (สลึง, [S̄lụng]): Salueng is not official Thai currency unit but it is usually used by Thai people to refer to amount of 25 satang.
1 salueng = 25 satang
2 salueng = 50 satang
3 salueng = 75 satang
4 salueng = 100 satang or 1 baht
Noted that the smallest Thai coin is 25 satang (1 salueng). There is no 1 satang coin.
